Swatch TTR Rider Protocol
The Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour encompasses core respected, Independent Freestyle Snowboard Contests worldwide. Each event is owned, organized and run independently, employing their own individual riding, judging and accreditation format(s). As each event maintains their individual character, from small rider field events of 16 or less, to ‘Open’ events with more than 100 riders participating, rider access and accreditation varies from event to event.
As an ‘Inherent Benefit’ to riders, the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour employs a ‘TTR Rider Protocol’ priority system that creates an automatic qualification system for riders based on their previous seasons standing who attain set cut off levels.
Riders who attain high end of season ranking positions within pre-determined cut off levels have the option to indicate and exercise their ‘TTR Rider Protocol’ priority. While the ‘TTR Rider Protocol’ priority is employed by all events on Tour, some conditions and a number of ‘exceptions’, as determined by the TTR Board, exist.
Men’s Rider Protocol
The Swatch TTR Top 10 riders from the previous season have automatic entry into all the events on Tour provided they give 1(one) Month prior notice to event organizers of their intention to attend the event. The TTR Top 10 riders who fail to notify events before this time period forfeit their TTR Rider Protocol priority and the place returns to the Event Organizer as a Wild Card.
Exceptions to this rule as advised by the TTR Board***:
6Star Air&Style Munich (cancelled for 2008)
- Returning Rider Rule - Top 8 riders of previous season contest
- Winner of previous season Rookie Contest
- TTR Rider Protocol - previous season TTR Top 4

If a Rider declines to exercise their TTR Rider Protocol priority, the place returns to the Event Organizer as a Wild Card.
In the case where a rider holds both Returning Rider Rule and TTR Rider Protocol priority, the additional Rider Accreditation made available returns to the Event Organizer as a Wild Card.
Women’s Rider Protocol

The TTR Board reserves the right to grant additional exceptions to the TTR Rider Protocol priority if and when they deem the ‘special circumstances’ of the event under review make this necessary.
