TTR BILLABONG AIR & STYLE INNSBRUCK 2012 – TICKET PRESALE STARTED

The ticket presale for the Billabong Air & Style Innsbruck- Tirol 2012 has started as of 1st of October 2011 – 24 top riders within a new contest format/Band Line-up represented by Beatsteaks and Sido.

The Air & Style format will slightly change this year, providing more excitement for both the riders and the crowd. This year, 12 riders will battle it out in the qualification to get one of 4 spots and to eventually advance to the main field with the 12 invited riders.

The chance of winning the Air & Style Ring of Glory will again attract the best of the best with plenty of triple corks in store. In order to be part of the party at the “boiling pot” Bergisel the rush for the most desired tickets will be strong as every year.

We will see who has started well into the season at the Oakley & Shaun White present Air & Style Beijing 2011 on December 3rd, 2011, when the top riders travel to China. For the first time ever the Oakley & Shaun White present Air & Style Beijing 2011 will take place at the National Stadium, better known as the Bird’s Nest. It’s going to be bigger, louder and with way more style!

Ticket special: The ticket can be used on all lines of the IVB within Innsbruck from Friday-Sunday(6 a.m.). A free shuttle service will be provided to take you to the official aftershowpary at Hafen, Innsbruck.

MARK MCMORRIS STOMPS BACKSIDE TRIPLE CORK 1440

Canadian ripper and winner of the Air & Style Innsbruck 2011, Mark McMorris impressed everyone last week by sticking a new and insane trick – backside triple cork 1440. Mark was filming with the Transworld crew in Snowmass, Colorado for an upcoming project when Mark felt the jump and went for it.

In a Transworld interview Mark had the following to say – “I’ve been doing a variation of the double cork back ten for quite awhile and nobody had tried it, so I just wanted to see what would happen if I just started it like a back ten but go a little further, hold my grab—I don’t know. The first one I just didn’t start as flippy, I kinda did a backside fourteen double and just fell. It kinda made sense so I just eased my way into it on the next two. I did it with no injury, so that’s cool.

STALE SANDBECH AT THE 6STAR BILLABONG AIR & STYLE INNSBRUCK

Check out this video on Norwegian shredder Stale Sandbech at the 6Star Billabong Air & Style in Innsbruck. Stale is currently placed World No 21. and due to an injury has been sitting in the audience of the last few TTR events. He is one to watch out for in the future….

HALLDOR HELGASON’S FULL PART IN HOOKED

It’s Monday and time seems to be crawling? We’ve got just what you need to pass this day! Halldor Helgason’s full part in Hooked, a Pirate Movie Production. If you don’t know Halldor, he’s the guy who threw hands down, the most stylish trick at the Nike 6.0 Air & Style Munich 2011 – the Lobster Flip. Although he didn’t land it, it was still sick to see him try it over and over again. Halldor ended up getting third place at the event earning, aside from TTR ranking points, many steez points.

NIKE 6.0 AIR & STYLE AFTERSHOWPARTY PRESENTED BY PLEASURE SNOWBOARD MAGAZIN

The Air & Style is back in Munich! After 4 years the legendary snowboarding event returns to the Olympic stadium where riders will throw themselves of the massive jump and entertain the crowd. An event of this kind would be nothing without a banging afterparty… and this is where our media partner Pleasure Snowboard Magazin comes in. The Pleasure crew is known for throwing wild and awesome parties which is why you shouldn’t miss this one.

Pleasure invites you to the Schrannenhalle in Munich on February 12th at 10pm. Responsible for the tunes will be Dj Tommy Montana, SCHOWI who is the frontman of the German band Massive Töne and last but not least DJ KLEVER from Atlanta who can usually be found in Las Vegas, spinning for live acts such as the Beastie Boys and Paris Hilton.

TTR NIKE 6.0 AIR & STYLE MUNICH 2011 AROUND THE CORNER

11.000 spectators turned up to the Air & Style in Innsbruck last Saturday and witnessed a festival of great tricks and good vibes. Now the Air & Style crew moves on to Munich where the assembly for the Nike 6.0 Air & Style Munich 2011 on February 12^th is progressing very well. After the construction of the frame, the snow is now transferred with cranes to the 40 meter high Ramp and the landing. Over 2.000 m³ of snow are required to create optimal conditions for the riders which include Peetu Piiroinen, Werner Stock, Seppe Smits, Ethan Morgan, Sebastien Toutant and more.
