Event History

On the 2nd of April, the Intergirlactik will start off in Les 7 Laux, for a week of the highest quality female riding. The top 10 riders from the TTR ranking 2006/2007 will be invited alongside 6 wild cards and 4 contest winners from events during the season.

Besides the TTR Intergirlactik Comp, there is a lot more going on, there will be 4 days of photoshoot held before the Intergirlactik Comp and the Intergirlactik night show will take place at the foot of the slopes on Friday night for a Jib auction…who will get the highest bid?

Alongside the snowboarding there is an art expo by feminine artist in the resort, live graffiti writing, Dj’s, Music Shows… This will be more than a snowboard event, the Intergirlactik will be an alternative feminine festival concentrating on building an atmosphere and driven by riders motivation.

Intergirlactik Association, a non-profit organization, founded in early January 2004, has set up this original concept in Europe. With the event created by two girls who ride themselves, Intergirlactik is a pure feminine freestyle event. The goal is to promote feminine riding and put those sportswomen forward, who are often sidelined and have less exposure when compared to their male counterparts.

This was 3 years ago and today, women’s riding is clearly improving and it is now a fully integrated strategy in boardsport business.

Intergirlactik is one of the pioneer events to be involved in women’s riding. We help with the promotion and innovation each year with emphasis on pushing the riding and enhancing the female riders image.
