Event History

Making its first time debut this winter, the 2007 Burton Canadian Open Snowboarding Championships is the third stop in the Burton Global Open Series and a 4 star TTR event, offering this season’s largest snowboard event prize purse in Canada. Riders from around the world will have to opportunity to duke it out at CODA's Canada Olympic Park, in Calgary, December 3-6, for the titles in the halfpipe and slopestyle events. Like all Global Open Series events, the Canadian Open will give local and amateur riders the chance to compete against the best pros in the sport and award equal prize money to male and female competitors.

This is an open event, which means anyone can enter! Register now. Registration runs from October 1 to November 1.

With events held in Europe, Japan, the United States, New Zealand and Australia, the Burton Global Open Series sets the standard for snowboarding events around the globe.

The Burton Global Open Series is part of the Ticket To Ride (TTR) World Snowboard Tour, the largest group of independent freestyle snowboard events in the world. TTR ranks riders based on their results at participating competitions and crowns a TTR World Champion at the US Open.
