Event History
The winter BGV festival started in February 2002 at a time when the popularity of skiing and snowboarding in Russia was at its most intense.
Every year an increasing number of spectators and riders come from different parts of Russia, enhancing the view that the BGV festival is really the best party in Russia. Last year 5 500 riders and spectators came from more than 20 different cities of Russia and the Community of Independent States to join in the party.
The annual improvements of the infrastructure of the festival, snow-park, sport and music line-ups strengthen its status of the best sporting and music event in the country.
The difference between BGV and other similar events is the combination of sports and other entertainment. It’s impossible to imagine BGV without the participation of pro-riders and sports stars. The festival wouldn’t be the real BGV without concerts of famous Russian musicians, ritual bonfire, fireworks etc.
BGV is the only winter festival in Russia which has THREE(3)STAR rating on the TTR World Snowboard Tour.
