Event History

Since 2003 5ive Entertainment in cooperation with Schneestern parks & more are organizing „The Barbecue“ annually at the Easter weekend, which is the season finish of the Fellhorn Park. Soon the rail session was established as a solid part of the South German contests and was integrated in the “Wir Schanzen Tournee” in 2005.

According to the changing themes of the events (Heavy Metal, Punk, Country), that are influencing the contest in design and music (live bands), in 2008 everything will be under the theme “Easy Rider Feeling”.

The continuous growing number of participants and the growing popularity among the scene (90-120 participants, 600-1200 visitors) are making “The Barbecue” to a unique sportive and musical Easter.

As the final event of the “Wir Schanzen Tournee” a contest on highest level for price money and important tour points is guaranteed. Together with O’Neill the continuous growing (popularity, side events, music bookings, international starting field, price money etc.) will be pushed further during the next couple of years which will be easier due to the new O’Neill Fellhorn Park (Kickerlines, Raillines etc.).

 

Longevity of the Event: since 2003

Number of years on TTR Tour: proud to be the first ever THREE(3) STAR event in Germany and the only other big TTR event on German soil besides the SIX(6) STAR Nokia Air&Style in Munich

 

The O´neill Barbecue is an open contest (100 Riders) / for the contest, the riders have to pay an entry fee of € 20 EUR (Riderspackage: T-Shirt, Lunch, Freedrinks, Afterpartyticket & Drinks) / riders under 18 years must bring a declaration of consent signed by their parents or their authorized representative / the other 20 rides will be invited riders (they get everything for free)/ for the visitors of the contest there are no conditions and no entrance fees / for the after show party, you have to be at least 18 years old and have to pay an entrance fee of € 5.00.
