Event History
The Oakley Girlsessions has a long history. First organized in 2004 to gather all girls to enjoy great spring conditions on the Ruka Slopes, Half Pipe and Park. In 2008 Oakley Girlsessions event gathered over 100 girls to celebrate the 5th anniversary. Oakley Girlsessions is organized by non-profit organization Finnish Female Snowboarders association.
Year 2009 will be the first year with TTR status Slope Style competition. Competition venue will be Ruka BatteryPark (www.ruka.fi/batterypark), Favorite Park for most Finnish top riders like Meri Peltonen, Antti Autti and many more.
To achieve 3Star TTR status for Oakley Girlsessions event is great. That gives European and Scandinavian rookie girl riders possibility to collect some important TTR points for the future. All the best performances will be rewarded. We are handing out 2 OAKLEY watches that are worth 500€ a piece and other great prices worth over 4000€ from our sponsors.
Oakley Girlsessions is actually much more than just a regular TTR event. Weekend is full of action for all girl riders, all levels. It also includes a fun TEAM event for 2 person teams. More info on www.girlsessions.com
