Event History

The Burton Australian Open, featuring Slopestyle and Halfpipe competitions, offers riders a sizable prize purse, top level competition and more TTR ranking points than ever as the event has been assigned 5 Stars on the TTR Tour for 08/09. The Australian Open is the second Global Open Series event and as such will give local and amateur riders the chance to compete against the best pros in the sport. Prize money will be awarded equally to male and female competitors.

The 2008 Burton Australian Open is taking place at Perisher Blue, Australia, from Monday 1st through to Friday 5th September, 2008 (weather day: Saturday 2nd). Male and Female riders from around the world will have an opportunity to duke it out for the Australian Open Halfpipe and Slopestyle titles and as many 5Star TTR ranking points as possible.
