Event History

BURN introduces its energizing proposition for music and winter sports enthusiasts. The biggest winter event of this season in Poland is coming to Szczyrk on Saturday the 11th of February 2012. The best snowboarders will take part in a spectacular big air competition while Hot Chip, Uffie, Kamp! and Future Folk will warm the event up from the stage.

Thanks to BURN IN SNOW, that will take place on the 11th of February 2012, Szczyrk will be set on fire. Both the best of Polish snowboarders and invited guests will take part in a spectacular big air competition. BURN IN SNOW will be the first Polish competition ever marked with 3 TTR stars.

“The place the event will be held in, allows us to build big and fun jump, so without a doubt there is going to be quite the spectacle to see. Also, if you add the lineup, I am expecting really good party in Szczyrk” – said Michał Ligocki, one of the best Polish snowboarders who, next to Wojtek Pająk and Tomek Wolak, is now part of the local Burn Team.

BURN IN SNOW will also be one of the most interesting music events of the beginning of 2012. Among many, the artist that will show up on the stage in Szczyrk, Uffie – French singer and rapper – should be mentioned. Mostly known for her collaborations with Pharrell Williams, Mr Oizo and Justice, Uffie is now one of the biggest electro music stars.

There is no question that as unforgettable as Uffie’s gig will also be dj set of the British electro band Hot Chip. Winners of 2009 Grammy Award for many years have been energizing public with its „Ready for the Floor” and „Over and Over” hits.

Public gathered in Szczyrk will also get a chance to see on the stage some of the polish representation. Those, who took part in the Burn Selector Festival most probably still remember polish electro band KAMP! His music talent will also present one of the best freeskiiers in Poland and leader of Future Folk band Staszek Karpiel – Bułecka.

Additional attraction will be chance to test snowboard equipment, as well as contests for the public.
