Event History

11 years ago we started as the first east and central European Big Air contest. Each year our event has rosen to a new level. Many professional snowboarders from across Europe and overseas have participated and the competition has proven very attractive to spectators. It has pushed the envelope of Czech and eastern-block snowboard scene to a new frontier and introduced the public to professional snowboarding.

2011 marked our 5th year with 3-Star Swatch TTR status. The event was highly respected within central European snowboard scene. Professional snowboarder Martin Cernik partnered with production company FREE MEDIA s.r.o. (publisher of Czech core mag Free Magazine), to organize their 5th annual Quiksilver Snowjam. The event was held March 4th-6th, 2011 at Spindleruv Mlyn, widely regarded as the top Czech ski resort. Thanks to infrastructure and location of the resort we pushed the main snowboarding competition to next level by creating extraordinary slopestyle course and filming "Live on tape" with 10 TV cameras. The footage was broadcast on CT 4, main National TV Channel. Evening Life Performance on the Main Stage, Best Trick Contest, and Night Parties. Combined these made Quiksilver Snowjam 2011 by far the biggest and most popular winter event in Czech Republic.
