Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam what's hidden behind this name?

Out of a spontaneous brain wave of a motivated snowboard crew, the Pleasure Jam was established in October 2003. Now seven years later, the Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam has become an institution for the whole European snowboard scene and is one of the biggest Austrian snowboard events.

In 2008 the Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam made a big step forward, got 4stars and became the European TTR World Snowboard Tour kick-off event. Besides the highly sought-after TTR Tour points, it since then offered its riders also a prize money of 20.000 US$. The riding-level was incredibly high and many big names like Eero Ettala, Andreas Wiig and Stefan Gimpl threw down some of the most technical "bangers" ever seen on the Dachstein glacier.

The hard and innovative contest runs continued in the year 2009, when Elias Elhardt from Germany won the Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam with an outstanding second run (Frontside 7, Backside 1080 Doublecork, Backflip). He even got the best trick award with his Backside 1080 Doublecork and won a 3-week-surftrip to the legendary Balicamp. The last two years the contest line consisted of three kickers in a row, ideal medium to large jumps which are just perfect to get the pros into contest mode at the beginning of a long season. So which tricks can we expect this year? The triple cork we'll see!

Under brazenly perfect weather conditions, the international freestyle community celebrated the ninth edition of the Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam in the Horsefeathers Superpark Dachstein one of the best ones ever! At an unprecedented level, the snowboard elite was battling for the victory of this TTR 4Star contest in the perfectly shaped park. After a two day trick fireworks, the Belgian Seppe Smits and Aimee Fuller from Great Britain were smiling down from the top of the podium as winners of the Super Finals. The only 19-year old Mathias Weissenbacher caused a sensation in reaching the third rank!

TTR Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam 2010 - Snowboarding Finals

It was a perfect day for snowboarding up on the Dachstein glacier in Austria for the 4Star Horsefeathers Pleasure Jam, where the snowboarders were greeted with bluebird skies, warm weather and light winds. The day kicked off with men's and women's slopestyle semi-final rounds in the morning and finished off with finals in the afternoon. German snowboarder, Elias Elhardt, brought his A-game to win the event for the second consecutive year, as did reigning TTR World Snowboarding Tour Champion, Enni Rukajärvi (FIN), which boosted her into the women's TTR World Snowboard Ranking lead.
