A slopestyle contest is scheduled for this amazing snowboard week in Livigno, ranked with Five (5) TTR STARS, which will be attended by more than 100 top world riders. They will face each other in the perfect structures of Mottolino Snowpark, to take home part of the big prize purse and make it to Friday’s night final, the long awaited jump over the Spoel river.

TTR Burn River Jump 2012 - Finals

As the season draws to a close The TTR tour travelled to Livigno, Italy for the 5Star Burn River Jump, which featured both slopestyle and the spectacular big air format.With the TTR tour now in full swing some of the best riders in the world were in attendance, including a tour de force of Scandinavian riders, all vying for valuable ranking points.As the Slopestyle contest got under way the Scandinavians began to dominate the park. Their consistency was rewarded as nine out of the ten top spots were held by Scandinavians. 18 year old Norwegian, Emil Ulsletten, threw down a great run and won the first 5star contest of his career.Next up was the spectacular big air event that gives the burn Riverjump its name. Riders had to take a line through two kickers and then a rail section in front of the crazy italian crowd. After a great performance Finnish snowboarder, Roope Tonteri, took the win in a breathtaking super final against Ulrik Badertscher and Mark McMorris. Stale Sandbech, who came in fourth in the Livigno Big Air, still leads the overall rankings before heading off to the penultimate 6Star event of the season, the Burton European Open. The tension will be high at the BEO as riders try grasp some last minute points before the TTR Tour Finale at the Burton US Open in Stratton.

TTR Burn River Jump 2011 - Big Air Finals

Living up to its reputation, the 5Star Burn River Jump gathered a crowd of 2000 screaming fans to support the international line up of riders jumping over the Spoel river at the night time "Grand Finale" of the event in Livigno, Italy. Over a few days, during 22nd February 25th of February, 2011 this elite Italian snowboard competition ran two formats; slopestyle and big air. Kicking off with the Burn slopestyle contest in the Swatch Mottolino Snowpark, the spectators saw Norwegian Ulrik Badertscher take top honours. Ten of the best scoring riders from the slopestyle, received invites to compete in the night-time big air competition along with the invited riders and wildcards. Due to high winds that came in during the first qualification round the organizers made the decision to close the big air, and re-run the qualifications using only the " burn river jump" and the end jib section. As the course changed significantly the new format saw a 4Star TTR status. 16 riders battled it out for a place in the four man super final. The nail biting two-run knock out super final saw Norwegian duo Alexander Ostreng and Ulrik Badertscher, who both had made their way all the way from the qualifying rounds, go head to head, while Jamie Nicholls and Eric Willet battled each other. In the end it was Alexander and Eric who made it through to the final round. Aleksander nailed his first run that included a huge backside 900 over the river and a switch front lipslide 270 out in the jib section, knocking out Eric's top run consisting of a switch backside 900 and stylish boardslide. Ulrik took third place leaving rail extraordinaire Jamie in fourth. Jamie bagged the additional "Burn Jib Master" award for his rail trickery. With the two podium placements Ulrik Badertscher leaped up in the Swatch TTR ranking and now sits in World No. 14, while Jamie Nicholls jumped into World No. 28.

TTR Burn River Jump 2011 - Slopestyle Finals

A bright sunny day welcomed the 55 international snowboarders competing in the 5Star Burn Slopestyle finals to the world renowned Swatch Mottolino Snowpark in Livigno, Italy.The slopestyle course featured a Burn can for jibbing as a starter, followed by the choice of a Burn can to bonk or a 2 meter gap box leading in to the massive kicker line made out of a 20 meter kicker, a 19 meter gap jump and a 22 meter kicker at the end.  The three run final saw a high level of riding throughout the day, even though snowy grey clouds came in during the last run, but riders powered through the visibility issues with determination. In the end, it was the Norwegian viking Ulrik Badertscher, who took the win with a backside 1080, a double backside rodeo and a huge cab 1080. In a close second came the young Swiss talent Patrick Burgener with a switch backside 900, a backside 1080 double cork and a frontside 900. Third place went to Jamie Nicholls from the UK with his winning run that included a cab 900, frontside 720 and a backside 1080.
