Event History

The TTR FOUR(4)STAR ‘Burton Abominable Snowjam,’ held from the 7-11th July in Timberline, Mt Hood. USA marked the kick-off of the 2006/2007 TTR World Snowboard Tour. As the Abominable Snowjam was a dual formatted event – with both Men’s and Women’s Tour points up for grabs - the weekend was by no means a humble start to the 06/07 season.

American Danny Kass secured third place in both Halfpipe and Slopestyle events. His points accumulation has secured the US based ‘All Star’ rider an early season lead in front of compatriots Danny Davis and Chad Otterstrom. In the Women’s it was fellow American Jamie Anderson, who locked down her first TTR Championships Tour win with a 1st in the Slopestyle and 3rd in the Halfpipe. The accumulated results now places Anderson in the driving seat of the Women’s tour as it heads South.

Further highlights came from early season performers including Slopestyle winner Jussi Oksanen(FIN), Halfpipe winners Takaharu Nakai(JAP) and 16 years old, Elena Hight(USA). The ‘Best Trick Award’ going to Andreas Wiig(NOR) and Silvia Mittermueller(GER). Elena Hight also took the ‘Best Overall Women’s Performer’ title and a Volvo C70 for her endeavors.
