Two strong partners

As the main sponsor of Europe’s largest snowboarding spectacular, the Burton European Open in Laax (Switzerland), Suzuki will be providing one Suzuki Grand Vitara Freeride Edition apiece for the respective victors in the men’s and women’s categories.
The Burton AM Tour, Europe’s largest series of freestyle contests for amateurs, will be touring around Europe’s winter sports resorts until April 2008 and will see winners receiving Suzuki Quads.
The highlight of the cooperation between Suzuki and Burton is the Snowboard Design Contest for fans, with no limits set to the creativity with which entrants style their snowboards. The best design will be made into a Series 13 board, and along with a board made using his or her own design, the competition winner will also receive a Suzuki Grand Vitara.

The Ästhetikers

Not only are they among Austria’s finest snowboarders – they’re also prominent figures on the scene through their other activities. As TV producers, trendsetters and surfers, the members of the so-called “Ä-Crew” go in for everything that’s extreme and looks like being fun. This includes not only organizing their own events, at which the international snowboarding elite can be seen at the starting line, but also appearances on the German sports channel Deutsches Sport Fernsehen (DSF) in the TV magazine show, Stoke. Suzuki is supporting these young snowboarders by providing vehicles, and is represented at the contests with banners, boards and with its own obstacles.
